Guide Vest
"Oveall vest is good material. Pockets are numerous. Recommend larger size to have flexibility to wear over clothes during cold fishing. Need to be creative to manage tippit holder. Need to think of system to Orvis pro vest."

How to measure
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and snug under your arms
Neck: Wrap the tape around the base of your neck where a collar would sit - don't pull too tight.
Sleeve: With your arm relaxed at your side, measure from the center back of your neck over the shoulder and down to your wrist.
HATS- Measure around your head, right above your eyebrows

"There are lots of pockets and zippered compartments, but because the vest is so short, everything gets crowded on top of each other. I assume the designers believe that we will be wading in waist deep water, but that isn’t the case for me, unless I trip. 😳 Also, for what ever reason, with a loaded vest, my shoulders and neck were fatigued by the end of the day. In contrast my previous vest had no issues with the same load. I have switched back to my Fishpond vest."

"I used my previous one for 16 years and I needed new one, so decided to buy the same product because it is very comfortable and had plenty of packets for all my fishing equipment"

"Great vest."

"This is the perfect vest. It has enough room with all the pockets and storage. It is extremely roomy and comfortable. Fits nicely over layers such as fleece or a sweater. For the types of fishing I do it meets all the needs. I also teach fly fishing from time to time so it can handle extra fly boxes and equipment as needed."
— Thomas L. (5/5)
"Well thought out. Great design. Comfortable. If youre a Vest Angler this is an excellent choice."

"Had the previous version for about 12 years. Glad they continue to offer this awesome product."

"Sadly its the first time ive ever been disappointed with a Simms product I have been in a Simms G3 vest for what could be as long as 20 years. It seems like simms is now no longer producing the G3 vest. I always liked the molded pockets and it’s durability This now is just another fly vest at a higher price than it should be. The zippers get stuck on the fabric inside the pockets making them difficult to open. The pockets on the back used to have one larger compartment for a rain poncho or lunch. And then there was 2 smaller pockets higher up on the back. I would keep spare spools there. That is now just one instead of 2 compartments. The Velcro pockets just feel cheeper. Perhaps its the new water resistant fabric. I honestly don’t know This really saddens me. I’ve probably spent over 20k on simms products over the years for myself, family and friends. I’ve noticed they have a great variety of flip flops but seem to have lost there way in what the company was number 1 at for so many years. I would like to wish Simms good luck with there Grateful Dead marketing idea. Lol. As I’ve noticed over my 40 years of only wearing Simms gear every time they upgrade/update something. , usually something is removed. That said I hope and pray they keep producing bomb proof waders. They are still the best at what got the company started. Perhaps just getting back to producing and he best fly fishing"

"As a 60+ year fisherman, I prefer a vest with a familiar layout. This vest meets all my requirements with updated materials and greater comfort."
— Michael H. (5/5)
"Very pleased with the look, design and quality of this fishing vest. Unfortunately, it was too small so I plan to reorder when larger sizes become available."
