Simms is contributing $50,000 to The Yellowstone Stewardship Campaign, in addition to $10,000 this past Giving Tuesday.
This past Spring, historic flooding damaged our home fishery. In response, Montana Freshwater Partners, a local non-profit organization based in Livingston, MT, has established the Yellowstone River Stewardship Campaign to support projects directly benefitting recovery of the Yellowstone River fishery.
The Yellowstone River Stewardship campaign was developed as a way to engage the community, out of state visitors, and business to give back to projects that support the overall health and vitality of the Yellowstone River, from its source in YNP to its confluence with the Missouri River in North Dakota.
All proceeds from this campaign will be invested in conservation and restoration projects that will improve water quality, fish habitat, late season flows and floodplain connectivity, and address recreational pressures.
