Use your regular street shoe size when ordering wading boots - Simms wading boots are designed to accomodate the neoprene stockingfoot of the typical wader.
If you are a half size, then you should size up to the next full size. Women should size down for men's wading boots (ie: a women's USA shoe size 8 would take a men's wading boot size 7).

In order to keep your Drifter shoes in good conditions avoid leaving where they will be exposed to high levels or heat or sun. These situations may include hot car, a dishwasher, clothing dryer, washing machine (hot cycle), as these can cause the EVA material to shrink or warp which may delaminate the rubber sole from the EVA upper or affect proper fit.

"Phenomenal shoe. True to size, perfect fit. Perfect performance at the launch and a 7 hour day trip to Baffin Bay Laguna Madre Texas. Comfortable all day with super traction on deck. Best boat shoe ever!"

"The Simms Drifter Shoe fits the walleye angler’s lifestyle from early-morning launches to long tournament days and evenings back at the dock. It is lightweight, comfortable, and easy to slip on when you are loading the boat, checking conditions, or heading out before sunrise. The water-friendly EVA upper handles spray, rain, and wet decks without getting heavy, while the secure fit keeps the shoe comfortable when you are moving between the console, livewell, rod holders, and bow. The non-marking gum rubber outsole provides dependable traction when the deck gets slick, giving you solid footing while netting fish, setting lines, or battling rough water. Whether you are pre-fishing, competing, towing the boat across the Midwest, or relaxing after weigh-in, the Drifter is an easy, versatile shoe built for life around the water."

"Wanted a solid boat shoe for casting off the deck. One, it catches line on the strap. Not a factor for me on my big boat but on my drift boat and Jon boat I caught my shoe many many times. I also have the stupides sunburn of 2 little squares. Let’s go back to the drawing board. Make it a solar tech material or something, idk you guys are the geniuses not me, But it can’t be snagging and my little window sunburns on my feet are wicked red."

"The Drifter has potential to make a great skiff shoe for FL. It's comfy, provides heel and arch support, and stays in place with no socks on in the heat. The problem is they are prone fly line snags on the skiff bow. The strap sticks out and the toe is designed to curl upwards leaving ample room for fly line to get wedged under it. Fly fishing shoes should be flat and flush with the deck. With proper line mgmt it's possible to get by but they could be better."

"Very comfortable but the buckles are not fly line friedly"

"Great over waders bought 1 size bigger"

"I just spent a week with these on a drift boat, and they were great. Great in the boat, and when I had get out of the boat to wade for a spooky sipper, these worked perfect. Yes, some small pebbles a couple of times, but waaaay better than having too put on wading boots. Comfortable and light slip-ons around camp. And now they're my go-tos for the vegetable garden. I usually wear 11. 5, ordered 11s and they're perfect. They are wide but didn't bother me a bit. I have only worn them barefoot."
— Peter M. (5/5)
"These are awesome boat shoes. I've used them on wet glass boats and aluminium and they are excellent. Nice and cool like crocs, but superior traction. Easy on and off. The buckle will catch line, but that can't be helped and worth it for such good boat footware."
— DAX M. (5/5)
"Purchased these to keep in the truck for wet wading and the boat. Perfect water shoes. I like the heel support as opposed to the strap on other models of shoes like these."
— Leigh M. (5/5)
