"This is a very good pack for wet weather. Anytime I need to carry more gear than my Dry Creek hip pack can carry this is the pack I bring. It's not to big and not to small. It carries very well with the Dry Creek hip pack or on it's own depending on what I need for the trip. One improvement that I can see in the future is a large net sleeve like the Dry Creek zip pack has. This would make it the ultimate pack."

"I like the pack; however, the pads that rest against your back quickly abrade softer materials, causing them to ball-up. Not a big deal unless you're trying to maintain your favorite UV shirts (I've now ruined 2 of mine with this pack). Outside of that, I love the simplicity and durability of the pack itself."

"I have been using this backpack for almost two years. It has been my carry-on backpack traveling all over the U. S. , my boat bag, my backcountry blue lining pack, and my take the family to amusement/water parks bag. It is big enough to have everything I need to survive if forced into a longer than planned trip without being bulky or cumbersome. I love that it has bottle/rod tube holders on the side, perfect for traveling or staying hydrated on the river without having to dig into the pack. From the Sierras to the Smokies this has been my go to pack!"

Pretty Good/Nice Pack
"I've used this pack on and off for about 3 months in Alaska. Time will tell if this pack proves to be durable but my overall impression so far is good; it seems to be fairly well made. I like the external water bottle holders, the internal pocket and knowing the rolltop feature will keep my stuff dry even in a downpour. The are two areas I don't like - the external zipper pocket is too small and the chest straps are loosely retained onto the shoulder straps - be careful because the chest straps can fall off the shoulder strap when not buckled (I already lost the left side of my chest strap); if you know this ahead of time you will be more diligent in keeping an eye on them. If you want lots of features and organization, choose the the G3 Guide pack. If you like "less is more" this pack is a good choice."
