"I continue to be disappointed by Simms these days. . . . I just don't understand how a $70 glove from a company that has been around 30 plus years cannot live up to one day of steelhead fishing. First rip was within 24 hours of purchase. The seam attached to the mitt ripped under very little pressure, the material is thin, too thin. I don't think they'll hold up through the winter, unfortunately."

"The mittens are well made, fit really well and provide good waterproofing. That said, they are not warm. There is a minimal amount of insulation on one side of the fold over section and nothing on the other side. I’m keeping them for spring treks, but these are advertised for ice finishing. There’s no way I’d recommend them for that."

"These gloves are fine if your hands don't get went. The foldover mitten top can sometimes get in the way, but otherwise they are week designed. The problem is that when they get wet, the gloves do not wick the water away from your skin, and so your hands stay cold. Imo, they are basically useless when fishing in cold water. I ended up taking them off and going gloveless, which was surprisingly less terrible than wearing the gloves."
