I wore these on some

"I wore these on some bonefish/permit flats; alternation eel grass, coral and sand. They are lightweight and agile to walk in. They keep the sand out well. Zipper gets sticky from sand but probably unavoidable. My only hesitation is level of protection against an urchin spine, very sharp coral, etc--I didn't have a problem, but I have some Simms flats sneakers that have more protection that I prefer because of that, despite heavier weight. These are a good option if you want to go light, maybe ideal for a sandy flat."

Wish these were better

"Wish I could give more stars but these boots are disappointing. Purchased for wet wade fishing in Hawaii. The rubber soles provide poor traction on wet or dry lava rock surface. The tread pattern is even poor traction on dirt, particularly if sloped ground. Yet comfortable fit and easy on and off with effective zippers. Wish there was a reinforced loop above heel for pulling on, which could allow easier carry in hand or to a carabiner/backpack. Rinsed and dried well with removable footbed. Won’t be trusting these on any freestone river rock. The pairing with a water sock or adding wrap around gravel guards may allow use in waters with gravel and/or kelp. Seem limited to easy access shoreline fishing."
