"Hate writing this bc I love my previous solar flex hoodies. This new material is rough/ abrasive. The fit is weird , short torso, short on the sleeves. Little to no stretch . . feels like woven plastic. Bummer loved the color and design. Couldn’t imagine wearing this on a hot day. . might be down right abrasive"
"Simms has changed the material on the SolarFlex. The new material is thicker and bit itchy vs the past lightweight performance feel. The new version also runs small - so size up accordingly. I am usually a medium, but should have bought a large. I will be returning it though. I miss the old version!"

The fit was much smaller than my previous XL size. Sorry to say SIMMS completely dropped the ball on this newer version. Going back to the other Hoody company that rhymes with Fatagonia."

"I have been telling EVERYONE that the Simms Solarflex was the absolute BEST sun shirt on the market. The material, the fit, the finger holes. This new version broke it all. If i could return it, I would (bought from my fly shop and wore it out the next day, shout out Feathered Hook). The material is thicker and more rough, the seams are sewn in a different way and rub like the previous version did not. And worst, the FIT is different. It is tighter almost everywhere and shorter in length. I have bought 1 for each season for the last 4 years. Last years the material got a bit thicker but the fit was still great. I hope my others last, this one is going to get buried under the pile. Hopefully they correct it next year."
