Double Haul Rope Cap

Flimsy, Soft, Low Profile Hat

"I bought this hat bc I like the images online and expected from the description that "double haul" was going to be a larger profile hat. It's not. . the hat is very thin cloth material and does not have a lot of structure. Makes my head look small. 6'2" 240 lbs for ref. I have a number of cloth or canvas hats that have a thicker mil and have structure which is what I thought I was getting here. If you are a smaller individual and want that fly fisherman or white water style hat, don't be afraid of this hat being too big bc it is not."

Double Haul not the same

"Previous versions of the double haul hats had a 3. 75-inch bill. This version of double haul only has a 2. 75-inch bill. Customer Service says changes were made to the hat but this info was not included in the description on the website. To me, double haul has always meant longer bills and more shade protection. I have bought these for the past 20 years but after seeing this design change, I am done. Another Simms quality reduction."
