To allow proper room for the neoprene stockingfoot, find your regular shoe size in the right-hand columns and order the corresponding Simms Wading Boot in the first column.
We have found that people successfully size their wading boots between their street shoe size and 1 full size larger (for men).
If you are a half size, then you should size up to the next full size. Women should size down for men's wading boots (ie: a women's USA shoe size 8 would take a men's wading boot size 7).

"I am a wade guide in the high rockies. . . Your wading boot is an important choice! It must have the comfort and traction to provide a stable and reliable connection to the river bottom. . . The vibram sole is exceptional and these aluminum cleats grip better than any others I have worn. I have used several Simms Guide and this is by far the best!"

"Incredibly comfortable for long days in the water, but very very badly let down by the metal cleats. lost all but 5 of them on first use - two came out in the car park!!! NOT WORTH THE MONEY and all I got from the supplier? "not heard that happening before". Won't waste my money on replacement cleats, not at the excessive cost of them, perhaps that's what Simms planned all along. Now bought another pair of boots for studs (not Simms)"

"Or the Boots for two weeks straight right when I got them and so far, they’ve been absolutely perfect. Put the plastic spikes in for the boat and they’re very grippy when walking on rocks."
— Josiah D. (5/5)
"in incredible, easy to exchange the different grips on the boot, whether I am in the boat and not wanting to scratch up the interior or if I’m running up a river on rocks, I appreciated the engineering around the tool and the grips being able to be easily exchanged."
— Brandon H. (5/5)
"I have been fly fishing and wading for many years, and since I am now 78 I need all the stability and traction I can get. I got the Powerlock Boot, with the felt sole, and it is the best wading boot I ever owned. . . I made sure I wore these boots several times before submitting a review. Terrific traction, great support and very comfortable. I normally wear a 8 1/2 wide shoe and ordered the size 9 boot, and I am very pleased with the fit. I highly recommend this wading boot! My only suggestipn is that you make the lacer about 10 to 12 inches longer, so I can more easily tie a double knot. Thank you very much for a product very well design and manufactured."
— Al K. (5/5)
"I have been fly fishing for 35yrs. These are the worst boots I have ever owned. Hard as a rock and completely uncomfortable. Adter 6 wears, one the cleats completely broke off. Poorly designed and constructed and way over priced."
— Chad (1/5)
"Fit great, love them so far 👍"

"The best shoes I've ever used. Fishermen in the rivers of which the bottom is covered with large slippery stones. Aluminum spikes and felt sole give a great sense of confidence when moving on such a river. Soft aluminum spikes proved to be extremely effective for clinging to slippery stones. But the price for confidence is the short service life of spikes. Maximum 2 weeks before complete wear. Replacing spikes is also not an easy task. I do it like this. With a thin drill inserted into a screwdriver, I clean and deepen the hole in the plastic part of the spike, and then unscrew it with a nozzle, which is embedded in a tube with new spikes. It is impossible to remove the worn spike with the keys that are embedded in the box with shoes."

"Great product that is true to its size. Having felt soles is a major plus when matched with the rubber or aluminum inserts."
— Don P. (5/5)
