"I purchased these gloves in preparation for a recent fly fishing trip I went on. Bad weather started three days into the week. We decided to go fishing on one of the lakes near our camp. So I decided to take the gloves with me. The gloves worked well keeping my hands warm, but I could not feel the fly line while fishing."
"These gloves are as advertised for keeping your hands dry in wet conditions. I not only use them on the river, but I also use them in snowy, icy conditions around the house. They definitely keep your hands dry. I do suggest considering sizing up on these gloves. They tend to be a little tight at the web of the fingers."
"This is an interesting glove. Very waterproof and warmer than just neoprene. One day in particular inspired my review. Weather: high 30s, 10 mph wind, water temp 43. It isn’t a cold weather glove by any means—doesn’t have enough loft to keep the hands warm—unless you are (temporarily) reaching into a cold stream and/or the wind is blowing. Once wet they seem to sap heat from the fingers, so I took them off when I wasn’t fishing to warm my hands on my neck or in my pockets, but put them back on when casting and fishing. Even then my fingers got numb fairly quickly, but at least I was able to fish! If you want a cold weather glove that you can get wet, get one of the gortex gloves. I am still figuring out the niche for this glove, but probably best in the 40s when windy, because temps less than that are just too cold (for me). I see other anglers fishing without gloves in 30 degree temps with a wind and they still seem to have the use of their hands! Or I suppose anytime you just want dry hands or if you have to touch the fish. Fit is great—no extra material in the little finger as with other products. Rubberized grip also very good. Feel very durable. Make sure barbs are crimped with these gloves because they are hook magnets."
