It’s A Suit. And It’s All Business.

Under the Hood of the All-New Challenger Suit

There’s bad weather — and then there’s the kind that tests your gear, your grit, and your decision to leave the dock in the first place. The all-new Challenger Suit is built for the latter. Dialed for those who fish through it, not around it — the suit comes in both men’s and women’s bibs and jackets. This is, without question, the best Challenger Simms has ever made.

It all starts with what’s under the hood:

An entirely new fabric package — a 3-layer  Hydroforge. In plain terms, it’s tougher, breathable, and — finally — built with stretch. That means it doesn’t just keep the weather out, it moves with you when the bite is on, and the conditions turn sideways. No rigidity. No fighting your gear. Just performance where it counts.

Originally, the Challenger suit was designed with bass anglers in mind — running wide-open across big water, chasing windows and fishing through whatever rolls in. However, over the years, the reach of the Challenger Suit has extended well beyond that. Whether you’re trolling offshore in a center console, picking apart a wide open bay from a skiff, or staying planted in a drift boat for an all-day float,  the Challenger Suit has a legitimate place.

Let’s talk about the jacket:

When the sky opens up and the wind starts pushing whitecaps, the Challenger Jacket earns its keep. The fully taped, 3-layer waterproof/breathable construction blocks rain and spray, but it’s the breathability that keeps you comfortable hour after hour.

The hood is dialed. A 3-way adjustable system with a built-in brim keeps your field of vision clear — even when you’re running fast or scanning water in sideways rain. No loose cords whipping your face either — the internal cinch locks everything down clean.

Cuffs seal tight with Velcro to keep water from running up your sleeves mid-cast, and smart pocketing — both internal and external YKK zippered — keeps essentials secure and accessible.

The bib:

The Challenger Bib is where durability meets mobility. Same fully-taped Hydroforge 3-layer build, but mapped with stretch panels through the sides and back so you can layer up and still move freely. Whether you’re stepping up to the bow, crouching to lip a fish, or grinding through a long day, it works with you — not against you.

The lower legs are reinforced for abuse — because decks, docks, and trailer steps don’t always play nice. Adjustable hems and knee-high zippers make getting in and out of the bib easy, even over boots. Up top, you’ve got a full-length center-front zipper reinforced with a storm flap for quick relief when nature calls. In addition,  fleece-lined handwarmer pockets revitalize frozen fingers when temps drop, and the wind won’t quit.

This isn’t a fair-weather suit. It’s the one you reach for when the forecast says stay home — but you know better.

Fittingly, the Challenger Suit made its debut in the hands of Simms Pro Dylan Nutt, who wore it straight to a win at the 2026 Bassmaster Classic. Big stage. Big pressure. Real conditions. The all-new Challenger Suit doesn’t just show up. It handles business.
