We are looking to fill several Production Specialists roles. We have several roles and will train the right candidates to be members of our Wader Maker Team. An eye for detail, focus on excellence and a positive team member are the characteristics we’re looking for.

The mission of the Wader Production Team is to produce high quality waders. Roles may learn the production processes in the Pressing, Sewing/Taping, Attachment/Boot Building and/or Testing and Packaging area.

  • Saturday between 6:00 am and 4:30 pm

 

How we reward our team:

  • Our Wader Maker Team earns a competitive base wage, between $16.00 - $19.50 per hour
  • During the first 90 days, we add $1.50/hour as a training bonus
  • After 90 days, wader makers are placed in the Production Bonus pool. Bonuses are paid out monthly based on achieving weekly wader goals. This generally adds and additional $2.25 - $3.00 per hour to the base wage

Warranty & Repair Associate

 

At Simms, we make the finest waders in the fishing market, right here in Bozeman! We operate our own in-house Repair Center. We’re looking for a positive team member with an eye for detail, focus on excellence.

 

A Warranty & Repair Associate will work as part of the quality team to perform a variety of assessments and repairs on customer returned products. This is an entry-level position and will work under direct supervision. This role is an in-house role, located in Bozeman, MT.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Repair waders and garments utilizing approved methods and materials including but not limited to cleaning, laminating, heat-pressing, taping, sewing, gluing, and replacing missing items.
  • Water test for wader leaks.
  • Maintain high level of communication with supervisor and Customer Service team regarding warranty and repair tickets.
  • Assist in quality inspections and packaging of finished product and raw materials using parameters and samples approved by Simms.
  • Assist in other functions as needed.

 

The successful associate shall:

  • Be a team player that follows the above referenced procedures, but is also willing to take further direction from the Warranty & Repairs Supervisor.
  • Be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time and move and lift materials.
  • Have limited exposure to odorous substances and solvents (i.e. methyl-ethyl ketone).
  • Demonstrate patience, detail orientation, and focus on quality. 
  • Prior manufacturing experience is helpful
  • Adhere to Safety procedures and guidelines

Dealer Service Representative

 

In this role, the Dealer Services Representative will provide superior customer experiences with our retailers at every touch point. The day to day is a combination of customer interaction via email and phone along with complex back-end order processing to achieve on-time delivery. Creating brand loyalty is achieved through expert-level product recommendations, effective preseason and ASAP order management, along with advice and guidance on all things Simms. This role is the ‘go to’ for finding solutions in all situations that may arise, with a win-win solution as the goal.

 

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Provide highest level of customer service in the industry with a positive solution-based answer to all product and service issues
  • Builds a trustworthy relationship with each dealer, helping them be successful through support and education of Simms programs and service including seasonal sales programs and ensuring Simms Dealer Policies are adhered to
  • Proactively manage open order dollars, focusing on accurate revisions and order release to achieve on-time ship dates
  • Educate dealers on the Simms B2B platform to place orders, find marketing collateral, and share additional tools critical for success

This role will work with all types of Simms customers, ranging from Guides to consumers and dealers, handling all inbound order processing, product recommendation and post-sale activities, such as product returns and warranty needs.

Supply Planning Manager

 

The supply planning manager oversees and executes all aspects of planning within Simms’ global supply chain for sourced products.  This role does not participate directly in planning activities for Simms’ Bozeman production operations.  Key activities within the scope of this role include:

  • Oversight of planning activity scheduling tool
  • Factory long range capacity planning
  • Greige planning and ongoing greige position management
  • PO reviews, and oversight of execution into supply chain
  • PO-by-PO MOQ reviews for vendors
  • Evaluation and execution of ad-hoc, as-needed PO revisions (typically driven by raw material constraints)
  • Mastery of current tools and processes, and persistent effort to identify and implement improvements.

 

The overarching objective of this role is to maintain the optimal balance of inventory turns and product availability, while minimizing excess raw material and discontinued product volumes. Key metrics used to measure effectiveness in this role include:

  • Inventory turns
  • Top 25 style dollar weighted availability
  • Overall availability
  • DTC availability
  • Discontinued inventory as a % of revenue
  • Obsolete fabric exposure

 

This is a dynamic cross-functional role, requiring effective partnership across the business. Key stakeholders include:

  • Demand planning – understanding and integrating the demand forecast that informs supply planning)
  • Materials team – gathering the fabric item and supply chain details necessary for effective greige planning

Inventory Planning Analyst I

 

The Planner I is responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance of the operational information and tools critical to the success of Simms’ Planning organization.  Through immersion in the foundational operational infrastructure of the company, he/she executes these goals with strong attention to detail, sound operational and mathematical acumen, and effective communication with key internal stakeholders.

  • Consistent adherence to key timelines and milestones in Simms’ inventory planning, purchasing, and operational data infrastructure.
  • Participation in the creation, definition, and maintenance of key operational information and tools including:
    • Vendor specific inventory planning “Roll Forward” tools.

FP&A Analyst

 

The FP&A Analyst (the “Analyst”) is responsible for both maintaining and developing key data sets that inform Demand Planning decisions and Financial Analysis. The Analyst will have a particular focus supporting the Direct-to-Consumer channels (Ecommerce and Amazon) in multiples areas, including inventory management, promotional cadence and product selection, and reporting. The Analyst will also support the FP&A Manager in addressing data requests from all Simms verticals. The role requires a keen attentional to detail, an insatiable curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for numbers. This position is an entry-level, in-house position, located in Bozeman, MT.

 

Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Monitor and maintain Reserve Orders for the Ecommerce and Amazon channels
  • Update and distribute weekly reporting for Ecommerce and Amazon channels
  • Build tools and processes aimed at optimizing inventory (i.e., promotional forecasting for Ecommerce, proactively identifying and rectifying supply & demand imbalances in wholesale channels, etc.)
  • Update and distribute sales reports for Sales Reps (currently a semiannual cadence with the opportunity to increase communication frequency and improve support for Sales Reps)

Store Manager -The River's Edge

 

The Store Manager will lead the retail sales team in providing exceptional customer experiences with our customers at every touch point, creating brand loyalty through expert-level product and fishing recommendations, advice, and guidance on all things fishing-related – this is the ‘go to’ for finding solutions for any and all situations that may occur, with a win-win solution as the ultimate goal. The Store Manager will also guide the team in following a merchandising plan to create an exceptional looking retail floor with keeping a keen eye on neatness, cleanliness and on floor inventory levels. In this role, the Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store.

 

 

In addition to managing the staff and leading by example, this role will work with all types of customers, ranging from novice to advanced anglers, tourists, locals, and general outdoor enthusiasts, and will handle retail interactions, product recommendations, and post-sale activities, such as product returns and warranty needs. This role will also be involved in meeting the sales goals and managing the inventory expectations of the Main Street Store location.  This is a full-time, in-house position, based in Bozeman, Montana.

  • Responsible for daily store open/close – follows processes to ensure safe and secure location
  • Responsible for daily deposits and inputting daily financial information into accounting system
  • Responsible for hiring (and firing) process of retail sales employees, staff onboarding and training, and bi-annual performance reviews

  • Responsible for scheduling and making sure store is appropriately staffed for seasonal workload expectations
