We are looking to fill several Production Specialists roles. We have several roles and will train the right candidates to be members of our Wader Maker Team. An eye for detail, focus on excellence and a positive team member are the characteristics we’re looking for.

The mission of the Wader Production Team is to produce high quality waders. Roles may learn the production processes in the Pressing, Sewing/Taping, Attachment/Boot Building and/or Testing and Packaging area.

How we reward our team:

  • Our Wader Maker Team earns a competitive base wage, between $16.00 - $19.50 per hour
  • During the first 90 days, we add $1.50/hour as a training bonus
  • After 90 days, wader makers are placed in the Production Bonus pool. Bonuses are paid out monthly based on achieving weekly wader goals. This generally adds and additional $2.25 - $3.00 per hour to the base wage

Product Line Manager- Apparel


The PLM position is an apparel business and process management role dedicated to consistently bringing consumers compelling, distinctive product offerings that simultaneously deliver the company strong financial results. The PLM inspires, develops, and manages the execution of seasonal and long-term product line initiatives that move the brand and business forward. Seasonally, the PLM is responsible for developing comprehensive line assortment plans, product concept ideas and stories that support these initiatives. The PLM continually assesses the relevance and viability of past and current product offerings to determine future improvement, differentiation, and competitive advantage opportunities. The PLM conducts rigorous analysis, utilizing data-driven and consumer-driven business tools, and solicits cross-channel feedback to inform line plan decisions and manage business risk/rewards. The PLM proactively manages day-to-day product operations from concept through go-to-market/pre-production and maintains internal line planning tools and data management systems to ensure milestone dates are met.

To be effective in this role, the PLM will partner with Sr. Management, Product Team, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations on all long-range and seasonal line planning initiatives and reflect those in the internal line planning tools and data management systems. Further, the PLM will work closely with the Development Team to support the successful execution of the product development calendar, materials management goals, and milestone review meetings.

Key Areas of Focus: 

  • Maintains a deep understanding of the business, consumer, competitors, and market trends.
  • Conducts rigorous seasonal historical performance analysis across channels at the category, class, color, and size level.
  • Prepares annual category SWOTs, conducts ongoing market research, competitive benchmarking, and reports observations with teams.
  • Gains additional insights into product and customer preferences by reading online reviews and evaluating return rates and/or sell-thru reports. Solicits feedback from DTC, sales, dealers, etc. Presents findings at key milestone meetings.
  • Synthesizes and interprets performance results, historical trends, and consumer insights to identify future product line merchandising opportunities across all channels (direct and wholesale).


  • Creates and gains approval for seasonal product initiatives and category style/SKU line plans, mix ratios, key price points. Rationalizes proposed product line plans with supporting insights and learnings.
  • Provides input to Sr. Director of Product and Chief Product Officer to help inform development of long-range (LRP) product merchandising plans and objectives, business priorities and areas of focus.


  • Identifies compelling product concept opportunities to fill market white space, address existing or anticipated consumer-user needs or product issues. Articulately conveys these new, differentiated or betterment opportunities to key stakeholders during the pitch, approval, and brief writing phases.


  • Works closely with Product Designers, Sr. Director of Product, and Chief Product Officer to critically evaluate preliminary design concept sketches, details and materials for “slot” relevance and communicates any adjustments needed to team members.
  • Participates in product fit, fabric, and wear testing review sessions.
  • Provides input into development of core program and seasonal color palettes for the owned category/division. Makes recommendations to help build meaningful replenishment programs and bring freshness in key styles/categories.
  • Holistically evaluates line composition mix to minimize duplication. Evaluates style, color, print, pattern offer to optimize head-to-toe outfitting, cross-merchandising possibilities and to maintain a cohesive point-of-view.
  • Determines size range offer by style to optimize sales opportunities & operational efficiencies.


  • Drives divisional/category line development process from end-to-end to ensure milestone dates are met.
  • Maintains accurate product records and updates information in a timely manner to facilitate seamless workflow.
  • Proactively identifies and communicates potential issues, roadblocks, pain points to key stakeholders and collaboratively seeks resolution.
  • Continually evaluates efficacy of tools, reports, and general processes. Recommends areas for improvement.


  • Work with Sr. Director of Product, CPO, Sourcing and Sales to develop product pricing strategies. Identify product and/or category specific margin improvement opportunities, communicates to Design and Sourcing in product briefs.
  • Solve product margin and pricing challenges creatively and collaboratively without compromising brand quality standards.
  • Establish product rankings to inform unit forecasting and product/category growth targets. Support rankings through pre-line/sales rep feedback, historical sales knowledge, and trend indicators.


  • Identify product concepts to support big ideas, key stories, seasonal messaging.
  • Provide Sales and Marketing teams with all relevant product information for workbooks, digital catalogs, sell-in tools, website content, packaging needs, pricers. This role is a source of information and not the project leader.
  • Present product line to internal teams, sales, marketing, customer service and external dealers, key accounts, and public relations associates.
  • Work with Sales, Design, and Sourcing teams on any SMU projects.

  • Drives and champions the long-range planning and day-to-day activities of managing the product lines to consistently meet or exceed established goals and objectives.
  • Execution of all line management activities to ensure internal systems are up to date with key decisions and hit established calendar dates.

  • Research and extract actionable business statistics such as sales history, seasonal product mix, channel mix, market segment mix, seasonal price points, SKU performance, competitive landscape and provide and present in a compelling way to inform the planning, briefing, and decision-making.
  • Partner with Sourcing Team to maintain a strong understanding of Technical Apparel demand, forecast and inventory levels and provide concise, timely, and actionable information and reports to the Director of Technical Apparel to support efficient SKU management.
  • Partner with Sales, Development, and Sourcing Teams to successfully manage the global SMU process for Technical Apparel to meet goals and dates established by the Director of Technical Apparel and Senior Management Team.
  • Key point of contact for all product-related inquiries from Sales, Distributors, Dealers, and Repair/Warranty, Customer Service. Collects, collates, and presents feedback to the Sr Director and the Technical Apparel Team to inform decision-making and build positive engagement across the organization and with the market.
  • Present, as needed, prototypes to key Dealers, Sales, Marketing, and internal staff to help the Sr. Director communicate seasonal direction to key stakeholders.
  • Champion the successful go-to-market (GTM) process for Technical Apparel and serve as key point of contact to successfully execute established launch goals across all departments: selling tools, packaging accuracy, pricers, SMS, product documentation, DTC support, sales conferences, trade shows, prelines, etc.
  • Participant in marketplace analysis, focusing on the brand’s competition including market shopping to evaluate emerging opportunities.
  • Establish strong relationships and open lines of communication with the Sales team and retailers to maintain on-going communications regarding market dynamics.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Design, Marketing or Retail Merchandising.
  • 4-8 years of experience in buying, merchandising and/or product line management.
  • People and team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong apparel knowledge of market/industry, competitors, product construction techniques, fabrications, etc.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of product creation and GTM process, methodologies, and processes.

Apparel/Textiles Materials Manager


The Apparel/Textiles Materials Manager will lead the cross-category implementation and management of raw materials. This includes sourcing, research and development, commercialization and seasonal management to established cost targets, design intention and testing standards.  This role is critical to adhere to milestone dates and established workflow.  The Materials Manager will manage a broad range of raw materials across multiple product categories and global vendors.


In this role, the Materials Manager must facilitate positive collaboration within/across the category team(s), the entire organization, and with external raw materials partners to successfully build a detailed, efficient, timely, and market-leading materials management department that supports the premium positioning of the Simms brand.


Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Maintain a robust, organized, relevant, accessible, and easy-to-use materials library that supports market-leading design and category direction.
  • Detailed creation, management and socialization of standardized Materials Management documentation, database & dashboards that successfully drives the proto and commercialization phases forward.
  • Manage the greige booking process (Proto and SMS) and successfully partner with the category team(s), Finance, Sourcing, and Operations resources to hit milestone dates and workflow requirements.

    Digital Marketing Manager



    The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for managing paid channel strategy and execution to deliver against customer acquisition and digital DTC revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the paid marketing ecosystem, is comfortable working with agency partners, and is a strong collaborator. S/he must operate with an eager, entrepreneurial, innovative mindset and cultivate strong connections within the SIMMS global organization.


    Working closely with the marketing team, this role is responsible for driving brand awareness and engagement via digital media. The Digital Marketing Manager also works closely with the DTC team and external agencies to drive e-commerce traffic and revenue behind key seasonal product initiatives via digital advertising, email, affiliates, paid social, and search.


    While this role is primarily focused on hitting SIMMS “full-funnel” digital KPIs, s/he will play an integral role in developing our brand communication plans more broadly. The Digital Marketing Manager will be an omni-channel resource, also contributing to our digital marketing efforts on Amazon and the wholesale side of the business.


    Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

    • Manage the SIMMS digital marketing program including, affiliate, paid search, paid social, organic social and digital re-targeting programs.
    • Build and implement campaigns, allocates paid budget, and measures performance.
    • Collaborate with the broader e-commerce team to understand business objectives & results, develop test & learn strategies, and ensure financial targets and organizational goals are met.
    • Pull and analyze campaign reports to extract insights and transform those insights into actionable changes that will accelerate performance across conversion, engagement, and acquisition.

    • Works closely with Product Marketing and Brand Communications teams to develop and respond to creative briefs for digital product marketing needs. Provides feedback and signs off on creative based on industry best practices and SIMMS’ performance trends.
    • Creates, maintains, and evolves a departmental calendar that matches business objectives with the activities and output of the department.
    • Develops and maintains KPI dashboards and/or regular reports to keep teams and Executives informed on the return of ad spend, overall marketing performance and to help inform the balance of spend per channel and success metrics.
    • Drives development of the annual digital marketing budget; inclusive of agency support, production, media, paid search, and other expenditures to comply with organizational financial objectives.
    • Manages department expenses, ensuring all invoices are provided to Accounting, signed off and paid on time, communicate spend pacing and accrual needs
    • Establishes and coordinates reporting on all efforts.
    • Contributes to the development of seasonal GTM strategies. Collaborate with marketing colleagues to bring seasonal stories to life.
